They feed thier young honey, and they live on it during the winter whent there are no flowers. It keeps, it's a nearly perfect food.

Bees make honey to feed the baby bees, then we steal it.
I don't know of any earwigs that make chutney but they make my skin crawl.
Spiders make good jam if you have enough of them!

they eat it, honey is the only food (that i know of) that nevr spoils. sp they keep it for the winter when there aren;t any food sources
