If you are Muslim please educate me about your beliefs?

Question

I am trying to get a better world view. I have an open mind. I want to hear from people who want to tell me about religion, war and their opinion. Please do not bash me, but tell me I am open to hear. Just tell me. I am an American Citizen. I like all people, but do not understand everything and need to be educated. Opinons are fine just not bashing or hate please. Tell me what you want. It does not matter if I agree I just want to know. Just not slamming on me for being me. I love and respect all. I am open to learning.

What an egocentric name "me" if you told all the christians not to talk about christianity they sure whould be mad. I can ask whatever I want to and people can tell me how they feel about their religion. I want to know a human perspective. Yeah i have a library and an internet connection obviously, but would like to counnect with humans or i would not have asked the question. If you are not Muslim I am not talking to you aswer 2 ":me" the egocentric one who cannot name herself a name.

1st answer is good 2-4 are bad. That #4 answer I do not take seriously that guy is just looking for a date.

Bulletproof I understood you. It all shows if people are trying that is all that matters. thanks for your answer. I did not want a text book answer but a human one. Thank you for your time.

PS I am sick I can rarely travel to the store much less another country. I am limited to the net. Shopping and learning. I am young and it is unfortunate but true.

You do not "need to be educated." You need to educate yourself. I'm sure you have a library near you.

If you ask an adherent of a religion to explain the basics, you will get a lopsided view, because and adherent loves his religion and believes in it and thinks it is his duty to help you see it in a positive light.

And if you have a merely :"open" mind instead of a critical mind, you will just suck up his biased opinion, whether it is right or wrong.

The problem is that the subculture than runs our schools idolozes being "open minded" and either ignores or bashes, on relativistic ground, the option of being a truly critical thinker. Then we get surrounded by people who are explicitly seeking out biased information, for touchy-feely reasons.

Sad.

Hi...i'm a muslim but i'm warning u my english (some times suckz cause i'm not a native english speaker)..i believe that islam iz a great religion where any man or women should't miss...i also believe that we believe in only one god who is "Al-mighty Allah".And his prophet who brought the message to the world "Muhammad (pbuh) which is islam" U have to take a look at the quran and try to understand it..if u had a look u will find that islam is a great religion...which is not only 4 certain races(such as black) but it can be 4 all the races(white,hispanic,black..etc).Good luck and i appreciate your open knowledge.

yes princess,Do not think that Muslims hate American people or christians or jews,we're like all people in the world just hate the evil.George bush and Tony blair are leaders without morals they killed hundered thousands of Afghani and Iraqi people just for oil. Muslims beleive in christianty and jewdism, but they don't beleive that their holly books still "work" because in the past before islam, religious men rewrite them and they are no longer holly books,so if a person wants to know what God really wants from us to do in our lifetime he should read the Quran.

If you really want an education, don't ask questions on yahoo. get up and travel to the Middle East or Indonesia. I have been to Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Afghanistan. People for the most part will share their beliefs and thoughts with you if they trust you have a genuine interest. I met some really cool people.
I also ran into some real azz-holes who kept either shooting at me or tried to blow me up.

hmm..i am a muslim..muslim is a man that belief in islam..a man that belief in Allah and prophet..i like islam coz i feel special about it..hmm..its relaxing my mind when i'm tension..i always ask sumting to my god,to give me good life,give me health,give me everything,..and prevent me doing sumting that can make sins or being evil..and u know wat,if we belief in god,he will give everything to us..my heart is ALIVE..and not DIE..i mean..i feel enjoy in diz life,,uhh..it's hard to tell u about it..coz my english is bad..if not,i can explain to u very well about islam..if u got yahoo massenger,juz add me now ok?!! my id is extremeclimax
