i was wondering those of u who have sex changes afterwards if your a guy and went to be a woman do you still consider yourself a gay man? who do you date straight men, or still gay men? and vice versa for women? 'm just curious not judging anyone..just thought that after a sex change u are the opposite gender so not sure if you are still gay? hope this makes sense

I have met lots of male to female gendered people and i have not met one whe conciders himself a gay man. lots of tranies feel that they do not belong into the gay community as its not about sexuality. Trans genderism is about body image and not being comfortable with in the body that they are given. some pre tranies go the path of gay men before working out the precise nature of their difference.
also i have met tranies that are attracted to women some are comfortable calling themselvs lesbian others dont.

1: I never dated a man.
2: I was female from birth
3: I was born that way. It has been proved that the section of the brain called the Amigdula matches that of the female brain or about 45% the size of the male. This is the part of the brain that determines Gender And sexual preference.
4: I played the male role well enough to go to Nam rear, three children (who like me better now because they say I'm happier.) and had a successful career. I was also a member in good standing with the teamsters.
6: When more than half my life expectancy was gone I decided I was not going to die as some fictional character, I would make what ever accomplishments I could as my self, knowing I'd be faced with ridicule and prejudice for the rest of my life.
7: The odds are less than 1 in 31,000 that your son or daughter will be born with this condition. He'll also have a 20% chance of committing suicide if there's no support offered.

Im not either one of those, but I am pretty sure they dont think of themselves in the old sense of being. If a man still wanted to be a gay man then he wouldnt transition to a woman. A person who transitions feels that they are the opposite sex, so after transitioning they would surely not feel the old reality of who they "were" before the operation.

Because a person of transgender is a female heart, mind and soul at the time of birth she would of course consider herself female and if she chose to have a relationship with a man he would be a straight man and she a straight woman, if she chose to love a woman she would then be gay.

I know people w ho have gone both ways. It really just varies, like it does with people who don't have sex changes.
