When the job is done. It doesn't matter whether you agree with the justifications for the war or not. The simple fact is now that the battle has been joined America cannot abandon Iraq. At this point the country would dissolve into chaos and civil war if we did. Then the world would condemn us for not finishing what we started. If history has taught me one thing it is that America will always be damned if we do and damned if we don't by the rest of the world. Such is life I guess!
Iraq is not Vietnam. That argument is so weak. The motivations are completely different, as are the circumstances. Most Americans understand this, and that is why the anti war movement has nowhere near the power it had in the 60s and 70s. Simple fact is that whether people agree or disagree with the war, the majority accept that we have to finish the job. However, if believing that helps you sleep at night, more power to you. It is like trying to compare apples and oranges though, they are both types of fruit, but that's where the similarity ends.

The killings in Iraq have been going on for thousands of years. Under Saddam you never knew it because he ran the news! After America leaves the killings will still go on.
Why not ask the Shi'tes and Sunni's what their problem is with each other!
From my point of view, this is a form of Muslim population control! Let them kill each other and that'll leave only the Athiests, Christians, Jews, Hindu's and Buddists, none of whom go around killing each other!
That's a sad fact of life. Shiites and Sunnis been killing each other since 7 AD, you don't see Hassidics and Reformist Jews shooting at each other!
Yeah, the Catholics and Protestants were shooting at each other in N. Ireland, but hopefully that's over now!

The answer is never. Iraq is another Vietnam; there will always be a military presence there. Don't hate Americans. Hate the Administration. Although we are a Democracy; we can do no more to stop the killing than you can. All we can do is protest and vote for change, all long term solutions.

Don't hate Americans. We are plagued with a government that doesn't care what the people want. Our president is a disaster. Hopefully, we will be able to make a substantial change in Nov. even though the chimp will still be Pres.
Americans are good people. We just have a very bad leader right now.

Whenever Georgie-boy leaves office. Does anyone else think his eyes are too close together? This whole war has been a farce, and GW should be held accountable by all of the families of fallen soldiers. Ugghhhh!!

When the Pope converts to Protestantism.
When Bush's IQ exceeds his shoe size.
When Hell freezes over.
I am an American and I love this land, but at this moment in time, I despise our Government. This is truly the worst Administration I've experienced in my lifetime.

The day Bush is out of office and there is a thinking president behind the helm.
Other then that, he believes that we are making "progress".
