Most ot the people who study journalism in university are liberal. This means they go on to create a liberal culture in their profession, and this means things like the NYT and CNN are seen by them as "normal" and things like Fox and WSJ opinion are seen by them as "outside the mainstream".

And the reader that is complaining about Jews is utterly ignorant. First, for example, a larger percentage of American Jews are Democrats, and voted for Kerry, than most ethinic groups, by far. Second, Isreal is acting in defence in Lebanon. If nations, like people, refused to act in defence when attacked, it would just encourage more attacks, resulting in even more people murdered in the long run, and resulting in even more people in the world being controled by the sorts of violent crazy people who attack first.
