did Adam n Eve really exist??
bcuz science says that man evolved form water and the bible says Adam n eve were the 1st to come on earth.
So who is tellin the truth n who is lying??
help me..... im confused!!

The jury's still out on Adam, but Eve in some form was fact. Studies of mitochondrial DNA -- the DNA of the symbiotic organelles that live in all our cells -- have proven that every human being alive on Earth today descended from a single female ancestor. So, science has proven that an Eve of some kind really existed. As to Adam and the Garden of Eden, they remain unproven at this time.

Adam and Eve is the Most Ancient Church according to Swedenborg. A married couple that symbolizes an entire group. Also, the seven day creation story is how a person is created with six days of work and a seventh day or peace (of mind) at the end of the work. Swedenborgians have no problem with carbon dating the earth. The story of Adam and Eve and Noah is symbolic and does not really have anything to do with events on this particular earth.

Oh come now, open your eyes. The Bible is a good book, and some of it, I'm sure, is based on things that may have actually happened. But this is science we're talking here. The story of Adam and Eve is just that, a story. Science is based in fact. Humans are lifeforms just like all the other beings on the planet and we are all connected, and that has scientific and spiritual qualities.

I don't really know which is more real. But I recently saw a documentary that stated that every person in the world came from one man, the oldest tribe in the world, The San, in Africa. If you look carefully you'll see that they have the features of every kind of people (dark skin, white skin, eyes, height, shape, etc). Science says that people might have come from the sea but science always tells us that we all came from the same man, the same woman. So I think that Adam and Eve are fact and now we have scientific proof.

In my opinion, the Bible is not absolute truth, but rather a symbolic telling that the ancient Jews could understand, and it simply has never been updated. Adam and Eve are not real, but the personification of the first two creatures that were close to being human. The first semiintelligent ape like creatures (kind of like your average redneck). This does NOT contradict the idea of God.

It's basically fiction. The garden of eden story is based on the Anannaki, who were in that region mining gold. The same story is on the Sumerian tablets with the original story changed to fit the needs of the writers of the bible. Eve was a male originally and the snake one of the Anannaki trying to help humanity escape the slavery of working in the mines for these people, who were NOT god.

It amazes me that in most cases, christians won't believe what conventional science shows us to be true and will still believe a book that noone knows for sure if it is true because it entrusts the reader to have faith instead of searching for the truth. The Bible is a very long drawn out story that some people have taken out of context and started putting their own meanings to. I read the Bible and heres what I think its the best fiction book I ever read.

Such tales are fiction. The creation myths of all cultures have been disproven by Science long ago.Ask and Embla or Epimetheus and Pandora are as real as Adam and Eve. Such people as my sister would laugh about Sumerian, Egyptian, Chinese, Greek, German, etc. creation myths, but they say that the equally ridiculous or more so tales that include Adam are true and must not be questioned. Pathetic!

Think of Adam and Eve as a representation of the Divine. They are both mother and father energies.
Man did evolve from water...in the fact that we are inheritants from a place long ago on the earth known as "atlantis"
