Because most people lack the discipline to learn on their own.

And, because there is much to learn in this world.

And, because you need a diploma to participate in the world.

And, of course, as someone has noted, the original role of public education was to teach former farmers how to act in an industrial work place. Also, it taught immigrants English to be able to work. It teaches you to be on time and listen to and obey instructions and rules.

But, I think the most important is how many people would study methodically to learn if they are not forced? I mean, I don't see many kids sitting under trees and reading books in the summer. I see fewer doing Math or memorizing French or English vocabulary and grammar.

You have to go back to school for your own future. Get a good education, good qualifications and open all the doors to a successful career life. This is your security in life. Looking at the bigger picture, you become a productive member of your society and your country. You gain status, satisfaction and your own sense of power for your hard efforts.

You don't. The answer is as simple as that!! If you see no value in education, then stop going to school. When the time comes that you cannot work except in minimum paying jobs, you will wake up, realize the problem you face, and return to school to get those skills you need to succeed and move on.

Good luck!!

Because the teachers are getting bored! LOL kidding, collegues...
(ahem)
We'll wait here, you run downstairs, or call, or jot a note real quick to the person responsible for MAKING you go back to school. Here's what to say: "Thank you for caring enough about me to send me back to school. Please don't take my grumpiness about going back personally. I love you and I appreciate you appreciating me."
I am confident this could be a refreshing start/new perspective on your situation. It'll give you energy. Let us know if it works!

to go back to the unstable pit that is high school
seriously the teachers dont care
they just slap random subjects in your face and expect you to pass them.
1. Poetry class? (like im going to write a love letter to work)
2. Art Class? (art class is for the old)
3. the gym (did we students say we needed excise?)
4. career day (we will choose jobs our selfs thanks..)

if the teachers would remove this USELESS classes they would go home quicker and the kids can go back to TV
