I personally have an affinity toward Asian cinema.
Which of these did you find more entertaining, scary, creepy etc.?

Ju-On all the way. I have become completely hooked on Japanese horror over the past year or so. Some other greats that are worth checking out are: The Neighbor #13, Marebito, all four Ringu movies, and Audition. These are seven really good movies that will make you pant for more. And for those that criticize Japanese cinema because they can't follow the story, broaden your horizons a bit, sit back, and just enjoy.

Ju-on was actually pretty pale compared to the horror-action films Asia has produced ( ringu is the best example other great films are dark water and Tetsuo the iron man.)

However the original version is surely better than the silly american version, (which suffers from bad acting and an attitude to explain EVERYTHING cutting of the mystical feeling of the movie)...

Ju-on:3/5
the grudge 1/5

I actually liked both, but I would say that Ju-On was better.

Ju-on, totally and completely. It actually scared me, and that just doesn't happen

Ju-On was much better and scarier. That movie is freaky.
