This is rather like asking who would win a fight between Mike Tyson and James Bond (assuming 007 were a real person): The samurai was a professional and expert soldier: the ninja was a master assassin. You might guess that the ninja. being "sneakier", would win because he would attack when there was no defence. So James Bond would easily beat Iron Mike (probably strangling him with a wire), and all Mike may do is perhaps bite off an ear.

are you talking about a skilled samurai and a skilled ninja? i mean a ninja would win if the samurai was not skilled. but then if the samurai was skilled enough the samurai would win. ninjas also a little sword where a samurai has huge sword. but then again the ninja could jump rooftop to rooftop in the darkness, slashing at the samurai. with more details i could tell you confidently. but for now i would have to say ninja.

Hmm... I would vote the ninja. In general, their fighting style and weaponry are more varied and their specialty emloying the element of surprise. Additionally, I think they have a better capability of attacking from a distance, since they have throwing-style weapons at their disposal (shuriken, etc.).
Plus, ninja just look cooler. All that black. Sexy. LOL

If it would be an open fight then definitely samurai, because they are pure warriors. Ninjas are assassins and their tactics rely on secrecy.
