The 7 day auctions do the best. That way the people who say work all week and only check on the weekend can start the bidding or finish it up.
The 3 day auctions tend to be when you have a lot of one item and you are just unloading....you see that more with the stores that are selling.
The 10 day auctions do not do as well unless it is an item in very high demand. Who wants to wait 10 days to see if they win. 7 days are the best.

Depends on the items being sold. I use a lot of 3 day auctions that I start on Friday or Saturday. Sunday and Monday are the biggest eBay selling days.
Very long auctions, people get bored waiting for end.

Hard to say--there are a lot of variables. If you're relatively new to selling and don't have much of a reputation, then I would think a longer auction would allow you time to attract more attention. If you are well known or have a hard-to-find but popular and often-searched-for item, a shorter auction could be a good way to get bidders to act fast.

From my experience, it depends on the products involved. However, most auctions are more successful when posted longer.

A lot depends on what you are selling.
I have discovered that short ones tend to sell at a lower price than longer ones, but that is a general view.
Again, it depends on what you are selling.

If you create a sence of urgency on the buyers part by not letting the item linger too long, I would think you would fair better. Put a limit on it that you can live with.

Maybe. People will most probably see it sooner and bid. But if people happen to see it when it has 7 days then it will probably go up even more.
