Well,there are 5 people in my household,I just farted,and my boy farted a couple minutes before that,so i would put that answer at 20% +- 10% error margin.So,even at 10%,there would be roughly 600,000,000 people farting at any given time.It all depends too on what everyone had to eat beforehand,noting that everyone has a nice supply of beans at hand.Thats a lot of gas!!Screw the mid-east,we have plenty!We should find a way to make fuel out of it...and in fact,it is flammable!! :-) lol

Many people are farting at the same time. The exact number will never be know due to the fact that a large portion of the farts are blamed on... the family dog, the small child and of course, the ever popular question, "Who stepped on the duck?".
When we can face farts openly, then we will only have to find the equation to determine the SBD farts (Silent But Deadly). This will enable us to find the precise number of farts at any given time.
I think there is a bill in Congress at this time requesting funding to conduct this study. Although the majority of members support this bill; it's expected to be vetoed by the president. Mr. Bush stated something about the sanctity of farts and is expected to line up "drunk uncles" for a "pull my finger" a ccapella chorus.

Depends on the location. If it's in my place when I have bean burritos, it could be everyone. Not sure what the answer is though, just that I fart every chance I get and loud enough to be heard as well. Too many people complain when you cut silent cheese, then they complain when you do it loud, so whadda they want? Hey dude, I'm gonna CUT loose!
