While this is true that Muslims have treated Jews **better** than the Christians, it is not true that there hadn't been any antisemitic incidents, or that the status of the "Dhimmi" was not derogatory for Jews.

Some Jews still live happily in Muslim countries, for example in Morocco, Bosnia and Turkey.

The "problems" did not begin with the Zionist agenda. In Syria, for example, ca. 1830 there was a "pogrom" following a blood libel. It did, however, intensify after Zionism began to claim lands in the territory, which is Israel today. However,

(a) Not all Jews are Israeli, and not all Jews are even Zionists or pro-Israeli, yet - if you look here at Yahoo! Answers you'll see lots of antisemitism, especially by usernames who claim to support the Arab cause or to be Arabs; The events in Seattle (for example) show, again, that some extremists would attack Jews because they are Jews. The attacker was, needless to say , a Muslim.
(b) Even if the most brutal antisemitism begun with Zionism and the foundation of the State of Israel, this is hardly a justification for racism. How do Arabs or Muslims respond when some idiots (including on Yahoo! Answers) blame them for all of the world's problems?

The Muslims throughout history have actually allowed people of other religions to live among them as normal citizens, only required to pay a small tax. Considering all of world history, that is most generous!

Jews (and Christians) are People of the Book, a kind of extended family to Muslims. We are protected from their forced conversion or die technique. (Also famously used by St Martin de Tours.) Well, that among other things.

Lets blame Hitler. This is HIS fault!

I have always known this. To the extent that Iran has a substantial Jewish population and has two Jewish MPs in their Parliament. Please people understand, it is not a Jewish or Muslim problem, but a Israel and USA in the shape of Bush problem. What we are seeing now is an instigation by the Cheneys, Rumpsfelds, Roves of this world. Putting all our lives in dangers way.

Nope.

They tolerated the Jews in the middle ages, but treated them worse than animals for the most part, unless they were rich, or especially wise or skilled
