does anyone really have any memories of sept 11th they would like to share?

i honestly do not want to bring up awful memories of 9/11/2001 but my son was little then and i would like to be able to share the recations and stories of what other people experienced on this day my brother was suppose to be on the first plane that hit the towers on this day but he missed his plane by 20 mins so please if you feel like shareing please feel free to answer

I do. I was at the office when all hell broke loose. I remember listening to the radio and suddenly Dan Rather was on the air and word came that an aircraft struck the first tower. About 9am I ventured into the breakroom and on the tv I saw the towers smoking. I couldn't believe it. Everyone was stunned when the towers fell. I gape mouth when I saw it. What stood about most about that day things came to a halt. Work didn't get done. When I got home I learned that Tower 7 had fallen. For me it had been a wild day. As for myself I contributed the above experince to the Sept 11th Digital Archive and was also published in a book too. The digital archive is now a part of the Library of Congress. I can tell on the digital archive site over a thousond or more people across the nation and the world contributed thier day experince. The one thing I still remember clearly was how beautiful that Tuesday was.

Well I work in the newspaper business at the time, I came into work and everyone was around the TV. We saw the 2nd plane fly into the building, on the 9th my grandson had been born and my daughter was still in the hospital with him, I called my other daughter and told her to go pick up Catherine and Jeff now. When we all got home I remember holding this new life thinking what was in store for him? And could I protect him and my children from this every so changing world.

i was at work at arbys in north carolina, i turned up the radio so all the customers could hear, we had just opened for the day too, n everyone just listened instead of ordering, we all just stood there in aww of it all, it was sad, so quiet, and then we turned on the tv to see the second plane hit the tower, it made us all gasp, people started pullin out their phones n calling ppl..its just like the oklahoma city bombing, i was at work at arbys in ft smith arkansas, when we heard what was happening on the radio it was rainin out too and it was the same thing, we closed for the day so we could call our familys. i mean its like i am always at work at arbys when these things happened. i dont go up in planes i never have, i am scared of big trucks too. i had family in both places, it is sad yet creepy..i dont work for arbys no more either

i was in school and everyone was leaving and i was like one of the only ones left so i started crying cus i was in like 3rd grade i think and then i went home and found out my moms friends x bf died in it and i cried the rest of the day=[

hmm...ii waz in skool in jackson heights, queens......i waz in 8th grade....i waz juz in class when my teacher announced sumthin has happened buh he dint wanna tell uz wut it was.......then slowly every1z parentz started comin to pick up their children n i n sum girl waz d only onez left in class......then our teacher finally told us wut had happened since there waz no1 left in class n we were bored n had nuthin better to do........n we went upto our 4th floor gym..from which we alwayz saw d beautiful towerz.....n that day we were shocked when we saw smoke all in d air n 1 tower missin.......we even saw d second 1 fallin....it waz really scary.....thankfully i had no realitive workin there or any in d airplace....buh it waz really sad wut they showed on tv...it waz really hard to forget bout it all coz they kept on repeatin d same thingz over n over again on tv for yearz...it got really annoyin later on when every1 tried to forget it buh d news juz dint wanna stop........=[
