God's Rosebud
The roses on the bush are sweet
Such beauty they impart
But I can tell you of the dearest one
That' Jesus the rosebud of my heart
Why put your flowers on the grave
When one has passed away
The sun will only dry them up
But Jesus, God's rosebud will stay
He sends the rain in time of need
He makes the grass to grow
He gives the hungry bread to eat
OH, I wish the whole wide world could know
So why not put your trust in him
and from all sin depart
Then you too can know the dearest one
Jesus God's rosebud of the heart

Lesus dear, I climbed up here
To kiss away your tears.
I did not know just what to do
But had to come to comfort you.
I'm sorry that you feel so bad
Really, it has made me sad.
Mommy said men nailed you high-
Because of sin you had to die.
She said you loved me and you're glad
When I please my Mom and Dad.
I'd take you down if I were tall,
But as you see I am so small.
I cannot reach your crown up there-
I would wear it in my hair.
