you've lost me
what are you trying to do install xp ?

you need to give a clearer idea of what you are trying to do

if you are installing xp back up all your files on a cd /dvd etc and when you have installed xp then you can copy the files back it will convert them for you if this is not what your trying to do make it clearer please

You can convert to NTFS without losing data but for security you should always back up vital data to a separate drive or DVD just in case. Things do go wrong! Good luck!

there is a simple way to convert your fat32 volume to ntfs...you should go start>programs>accesories>command prompt>then type this in the dialpg box
convert drive letter :/fs: ntfs
drive letter being the letter of the drive you wish to convert,in most cases it will be c
depending on the size of your hard drive this can take from 5 min to a hour
all of the above downloads have the added danger of being downloads from the internet,this way you are not downloading a thing so you dont have to worry about infection

Very easy Follow : Start->All Programs ->Accessories->Command Prompt In the Command Prompr write CONVERT /? follow the help and everything wiil be OK
