tama pearl ludwig and yamaha are good for hard rock/heavy metal. but my drummer says he prefers pearl. pearl>ludwig>tama>yamaha

I'm no drummer, but the drummer in my band plays yamaha. That's got a pretty hard sound. I've heard Tama are good too.

AAHHHH...that's better!! Okay, I find that Yamaha and Ludwig put out a sharper, fuller beat than most others...For soft rock try Premier....for both again Yamaha has a good range! Thanks for the input...good luck!
