I'm starting my MA in October 06 and still wondering what subjects to chose. Considering Political Philosophy, Ethics and Aesthetics, but would like to know if anyone can recommend others as well.

It kind of depends on what you like, neh?

With my background in biology, I always end up getting involved in some of the neural aspects of epistemology so the 'Epistemology and Methodology' course looks good (to me at least). That 'Philosophy of Mind' course even more so!

Ethics tends to touch on the idea of 'good', and I see you get some Aristotle in it, so that could be fun too, though I've always found the free will argument to be tiresome and I see it crops up in that course.

I also worry about Political Philosophy. While it can be very interesting and relevant, sometimes it seems to me that nothing ever gets said that I didn't already know anyway (but I suppose Socrates would say that's so of any Truth).

And there seems to be one on Plato and Aristotle. Plato has got to be one of the more entertaining of the philosophers around. And if you don't eventually get to the course on Shopenhauer and Nietzsche you will truly be sorry, I'm sure. That is assuming, of course, that you have not ALREADY heartily digested all these good works at length!

The 'Gender and Philosophy' course seems to have all the earmarks of something interesting. Linguistics (I LOVE linguistics), epistemiology, political philosophy... I say go for this one, if it isn't already loaded up!
