The UN is ruled by politicians. Have you ever known a group of politicians to get much of anything done? Its just a game for them, political power. We should get rid of the UN. They are worthless scrotum sacks.

I haven't figured that out yet, because it seems that everytime that ask for something there are always other countries there that vote it down, and then the country they are asking to accept what they say rejects the idea. Guess there isn't a thing as a real peace solution available, because everybody has their own opinion about what is right and wrong. Maybe all world leaders should be women, and maybe unless we have PMS we could reach a solution, as we don't try to play macho, and try to make a resolution.

No, since all they want to do is try to reason with people who cant be reasoned with. Who know how to play the game and what to say to get the UN off their back and then turn around and do what they want. Talking DOES NOT work with people like that and since that is all the UN is willing to do. The answer is NO.

UN had played active role when Russia (then USSR) was strong. It could equally apply a VETO to counter USA. Today USA dominates UN and gets its things done the way it pleases.
So whenever USA itself is involved in a conflict, the UN is unable to do anything.

They should have but they prefer to ignore the problems and continue to pick up their paychecks. They spout off and do nothing except let the U.S. solve the problems and then do nothing but criticize. We have had too many presidents who looked the other way while this was building up to this boiling over point. So what are we doing now? Condemning our President when he is doing all he can to rectify the problem.

In essence, since the U.N. has accomplished nothing why are they still in existance?

to be honest the UN is rather powerless however it does provide some forum for the rich to discuss their problems before they send the poor to fight for them. but that's all it is.

but i say this.. if the UN did have any real power, then kofi anan would be the most powerful man in the world instead of whoever can "get" the position of US President.

and to be honest, do you really think they would put a "black" man in such a position of power... can you say puppet? but hey, he gets paid well.

They're a "humanitarian" group hell bent on the starvation of millions in Africa (why is "THAT" problem not solved yet???) and to insure that terrorism "succeeds" around the world. and to line their pockets with the money that is allotted to them to end both of these egregious problems
