I know for a fact that NO PSP game is region coded. You can play JPN games in USA, EUR games in JPN, etc. Movies, however, ARE region coded, but there IS a way around this. You can use the PSP application "UMD Emulator 0.8c" to play any region movies on your PSP.

I bought my PSP from Japan, and it can play the US versions of games just fine. The PSP only has region coding for UMD movies, you can play games, and use memory sticks and routers, from anywhere, but you can only play Japanese movies cause you bought a Japanese PSP. UMD Movies suck though, so it's not so bad.

It's true, region codes prevent you from playing US games on JP PSP's and they also prevent you from playing JP games on US PSP's.
