Example #1: "Europeans are silly not to welcome the New Russia." They go on abbout Gorbachev and Putin.
Okay, blah blah blah, emotions are here and there.
Now to common sense. The Cold War was but 20 odd years ago, understandably the threat of world annihalation coupled with growing up with stories and with Putin's not-so-pro view of Democracy would lead some to be a little fearful of Russia.
Example #2: Civilians dying on all sides of the current Israel-Lebanon-Palestine war.
Really, hundreds of thousands, millions of civilians have died in wars this past century. Just because oh, 50 people die here, doesn't mean this country is Satan or they're the worst or they're this and that..
Off of Examples, I believe that this country is headed towards the gutter because passions are overriding everyone's common sense. And the mass media and politicians feed on this.
