Russia has contracted to send the bulk of her oil and gas East (to China and Japan). Who thinks, with me, that Europe has been very foolish?

It is about money and pay-offs.
France is good but the Chinese are better at this.

The West did accept Russia. Unfortunately, Russia allowed the criminals to take over the country. You can't have a "Western Economy" without a basic level of honesty. So, Russia isolated itself. As to oil: most of it is in the East, so it is logical to sell it to those closest to where it is produced. As Mexico, Venezuela and Canada do.

Its not stupidity but cowardice. Russia may dominate the European politics, furthermore what Europe do must have the permission from America.

Not me. Putin may appear friendly, but he is slowly taking Russia back behind the Iron curtain. The Europeans are right to not trust in him.

Russia is not to be trusted.....You didn't hear Putin condeming Kim Jong IL when he launched his missles did you? And for sure Putin is helping to supply Iran with arms. He's dirty. I'm glad Europe sees through him.

European doesn't want Russia to become powerful in economy. by not welcoming their energy, Russia's development will not grow as fast.

you do realize the cold war and the threat of world annihalation was NOT that long ago, who wouldn't be afraid of Russia sitting nextdoor anyway?
