I downloaded Counterspy to rid my computer of Trojans and downloaded TrojanHunter just to make sure the trojans were gone, both programs were very good; but both failed to remove the following:

Registry scan
Suspicious registry entry: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Microsoft Works Update Detection (Regedit Jump)
Registry value exists: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\.nvsvc (matches Agent.200) (Regedit Jump)
Inifile scan
No suspicious entries found
Port scan
No suspicious open ports found
Memory scan
No trojans found in memory
File scan (autostarted files, running executables)
No trojan files found

In simple terms please - What is Regedit Jump & How do I solve my problem.

Argh the registry, when you think you've uninstalled something, this is the place that says its been on your computer before, infact it contains information on absolutely everything you have ever had.

I don't know about Counterspy or TrojanHunter, but have edited the registry directly myself, the first key entry is cool. As for the second I can't tell because you haven't put the full key path in! Agent.200, hmm.

This aside I know that microsoft only condone one antispyware package from a third party, visit there site there is a link somewere.

Back to the problem at hand, I wouldn't worry too much, but you can e-mail me at rmphhcunzaizhuyi@yaho.co.uk with full info.
Load c:\windows\system32\regedit32.exe then find the keys on the paths that you've stated. Just get info and don't do anything to them, they might be legitimate.

regedit jumo is a little utitlity that allows the user to jump to a registry line straight away when you open up the regedit

It will not harm you computer - I would leave it on your computer

if not juest search your system for the reg jump - delete these files and the in the system registry delete the values for the reg jump
