I'm British and I certainly don't agree with American foreign policy but I'm sick of the generalisations on here, and yes many Americans did vote for Bush but many didn't and not all of them are crazy Christians (although there are quite a few).
Care to add to this?

I'm an American and getting sick of it also. Its easy to pick out the bad things and whine about them. But its even easier to see good things happening. Most of these complainers are coddled and spoiled without realizing it.They have not seen the world from, say, an immigrant from a third world country's perspective. The poorest Americans have TV sets, microwave ovens and cars. They arrived at the same perception that I witnessed in an acquaintance of mine from Bombay who has been unsuccessfully trying to move to the United States. I asked him, "Why are you so eager to come to America?" He replied, "I really want to live in a country where the poor people are fat."
People live longer, fuller lives in America.
In most countries in the world, your fate and your identity are handed to you; in America, you determine them for yourself.
America has found a solution to the problem of religious and ethnic conflict that continues to divide and terrorize much of the world. Visitors to places like New York are amazed to see the way in which Serbs and Croatians, Sikhs and Hindus, Irish Catholics and Irish Protestants, Jews and Palestinians, all seem to work and live together in harmony.
"To make us love our country," Edmund Burke once said, "our country ought to be lovely." Burke's point is that we should love our country not just because it is ours, but also because it is good. America is far from perfect, and there is lots of room for improvement. In spite of its flaws, however, American life as it is lived today is the best life that our world has to offer. Ultimately America is worthy of our love and sacrifice because, more than any other society, it makes possible the good life, and the life that is good.

once I quit analyzing questions from united states of america like 'the place are Dutch human beings from?', 'the place is Wales?' and solutions such through fact the only I merely study asserting 'do no longer pass to Russia. they are uncivilised barbarians', then i visit quit questioning human beings are ignorant. i'm nicely conscious no longer all (or maybe maximum) human beings are like this, yet i'm sorry maximum folk of those on Yahoo solutions are comprehensive wankers. Your argument which you're making stuff is bollocks as nicely. Germany makes large vehicles. Russia makes solid vodka. Does that advise you enjoyed Hitler and Stalin?? whats up, Iraq makes solid oil yet there wasn't extremely some goodwill in the direction of Sadam. If the gorgeous female in severe college is a stupid *****, then rattling precise, i'm going to call her that.

The reason the polls are protected is to keep people from finding out who aperson voted for unless they want to tell. So just because a person voted for Bush makes thema abad pereso, Maybe they were hoping that there were other issues that he would be able to take care of. Maybe some people were hoping for an end to slaughter to innocent babies. Which brings me toa point , how many that would harshly judge those who voted for Bush have no problem with the daily slaughter of innocent babies. maybe those who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones.

It's a crazy screwed up world and bush is our king. Skull and bones forever, bring on the new world order, long live the king. How do the few control the masses? War, hunger, fear and ignorance. If everyone knows our leaders can only lead us to hell, why doesn't anyone do anything about it? But, this is only one mans crazy opinion, if two of us agree it's just a conspiracy theory, and if three of us agree we're a terrorist organization and the government will kill us.

Well, Yahoo Answers is an international community, like yourself. And the international consensus seems to be that America's making some pretty big mistakes. I agree, and I'm American.
It's human nature to blame the citizens of their country rather than just the leaders. The ironic thing is that Americans have done that for years, we just don't like it when someone does it to us.
I didn't vote for Bush, I'm not a crazy Christian, and I'm grateful that you want to stick up for us. But I understand where the other people are coming from. Their comments bother me, but my government's actions bother me much more. If I'm going to get upset about something, I've got much bigger things to be upset about.
Thanks though!

Well you are right we are not all "crazy" Christians, although for the most part we are a religious nation. I don't think any country in the world has all citizens backing every policy. Do you back all of Blair's? Hey we've helped every other nation who asked for it for years so I see that a lot of people are either jealous or blind. That's just the way it is, we didn't ask for psycho terrorists to attack us.

If a mere strike would have been in Hezbollah concentrated areas there would have been support for USA. By bombing civilian areas of Lebanon, USA is incurring the wrath of people world over.

Unfortunately, Bush has done a lot to polarize the world. To vilify an already generally disliked population.

Because if they didn't criticize Bush and the government, they would have to sit back and take some blame for themselves, but we all know that's never gonna happen!
