I think any politician that fosters the welfare system in its current state is wrong. Yes, this President has dedicated more money to the system, but the system is broke. The welfare system has created its own population of people that believe in entitlements. I call them the new slave generation. This crosses all race borders.

That is interesting. When Clinton was in office, I prospered. I got ahead. I was not living check to check. Since Bush has been in office, I am damn near in the red. My living habits have not changed either so don't blame it on my spending or budgeting habits. I have even gotten a promotion over the last past years (that has nothing to do with Bush!). Gas prices are astronomical. My utility bill has doubled and there are less people in the house and less cooking being done. My taxes have increased. My property insurance has increased. The cost of living has increased. BASIC service fees have increased. Bush realized that Black people are taking advantage of bankruptcy to survive and he cut it out. Whites created it and have manipulated it for many many years to their beneift.
So..............
If you are saying poverty is better now with Bush...are you speaking of rich people of big companies you are profiting from these gains?
Getting a freaking life.
I would vote for a Democrat over a Republican any day. At least they pretend to like you and are concerned about you. Republicans let you know up front to go straight to hell "minorities"!
The system was not designed for us. We just live in it and do the best we can do with what we have. The handful of Republican friends I have are wise *** snotty nose bastards that think there **** don't stink and treat others as if they are inferior to them!
I am not racist by no means. My best friend is white and I would not trade her for anyone.....but since you asked!

Additional Details:
and since you want to make this a black/white thing...
No low income families won't be on welfare they will be back on plantations. That is until you realize that there are fewer blacks on welfare than whites. But of course, you will find a way to supplement the white families. You will give them black families to work for them and bring them out of poverty! Just the way you want it huh butthole!

Thank you tinfoilwindexwater (below) for the statistics.

Are you kidding? You must be !The Democrats have done more to help the blacks, the poor and the middle class by far more than the Republicans who only think of helping the already rich. We've gone from 400 billion surplus when bush "took charge"to 8 trillion in debt. The republicans stole votes from the black community in Fla. and elsewhere.Wake up and smell the deception.

I'm sure the Katrina affair convinced many how much conservatives cared for them. I'm sure when Mr. Bush's mother said "they might be better off" regarding the outcast from the damage will make a good 2008 slogan for the upcoming election. Oddly you say Clinton doesn't care but when word of potential natural disaster came out he canceled his vacation. I don't care for Mr. Clinton but of the two candidates he's shown more empathy. The majority of Katrina victims were poor and many are currently living in Government funded trailers with toxic levels of negative chemicals. Do the math for me how are poor people better off under this administration of is this just a theory of yours ? Why is it you assume that poor people are black ? Why have you tied a skin color in with a tax bracket ? Could you be bias ? According to the national poverty index under Clinton it was 2.23 under Bush it's at 4.33. Under Clinton poverty declined every year he was in office and 8.1 total at the end of his term. In Maryland jobs available rose 41000 compared to 21000 under this Administration. You also have to consider what Mr. Bush inherited and how much he's lost of that margin. When Clinton entered office poverty was at 7% and we were recovering from a recession but 9/11 effected the economy under Mr. Bush. As for this tax break suppose to help the poor who do you think will pay for that ? Who will pick up the check for Katrina, Social Security and Iraq ? You may think he's been good to the poor but in reality he's wrote a check he can't cover when it hits the bank. How does passing the Estate tax help the thirty seven million people living in poverty in 2004 ? That's up 1.1 million people from 2003. I'm sure the increase in gas prices has helped the poor and this while oil companies make record profits ?

The African American People and minorities have been cheated by the Republican Party time and time again. These people dont want to raise the minimum wage fast enough. The rich stay rich, and the poor stay poor. Its that simple!

How dare you confuse issue with facts. Next thing you know you will be pointing out that minority representation is higher under Bush than it was under Clinton.

pinkgoatwith..., You got it. That's precisely the problem. Their parents have never understood the power of their vote and hence the children don't either. Mind you that will increasingly change.

The conservative agenda is to punish people who are poor, not to help them. Bush hasn't done anything that is going to help them.
