a work in a day by:
a = 1/20
b = 1/30
c = 1/10
1/20+1/30+1/10=3/60+2/60+6/60=11/60 per day or 60/11 days
60/11 days or 5 5/11 days

There is not enough information to answer the question definitively.
It depends on the nature of the "work".
There are at least 3 possibilities.
1) The work is a simple task such as digging a hole of a certain size. Then the answer that most people gave, 60/11 days, is correct.
2) As zpom pointed out, the work does not get done any faster by adding more individuals, (such as "deliver a package 300 miles".) Then the answer is 10 days, the fastest of the times.
3) The work does not get done any faster by adding more individuals and is something like "complete your own income tax return." Then, it would take 30 days, or the slowest of the times, for all three to complete the task.

A can do a piece of work in 20 days
==> In 1 day A can do 1/20 th of the work
similarly B can do 1/30 th of the work in 1 day
C can do 1/10 th of the work in 1 day
all together In 1 day (A+B+C) = 1/20 +1/30+1/10
= 30+20+60/600=110/600
= 11/60.
therfore 60/11 days

A does 1/20 of the job per day
B does 1/30 of the job per day
C does 1/10 of the job per day
Working together they do 1/20 + 1/30 + 1/10 of the job per day, or 11/60 of the job per day.
1 / (11/60) = 5.4545 days
The work will be done in 5.4545 days.

After 5 days C would have done 1/2 the work, B would have done 1/4 of it and A would have doen1/6 of it which adds up to 11/12 of the job. They would finish very early on the 6th day.

Croasis is right
u could suppose
x is a total work, so in 1 day, A can do x/20, B :x/30, C x/10
Combine them: x/20 + x/30 + x/10 = 11x/60
So they could do together: x/ (11x/60) = 60/11 days

in one day A alone can do 1/20 th of job, B alone can do 1/30 th of job and C alone can do 1/10 th of the job.
All together can do 1/20+1/30+1/10 of the job in a day, i.e. 11/60 th of the job in one day
or in other words 60/11 days for the whole job.

10 days. Because you do not state that the piece of work can be completed sooner if there are more people working on it, you cannot assume that any assistance will speed up the task.
Some times many hands make light work but, sometimes too many cooks spoil the broth.
