My boss thinks that i make people quit. Because the last person that quit didnt come back to work the next day. The person that worked before him, she up and left because she wasnt going to get the hours on the day that she wanted(she wasnt scheduled for those hours.) I let the lady know i would fill in for whatever hours she wanted me too, but she didnt want that to happen. She was scheduled for 8:30 -Close, she wanted my hours 6:30-3. She had this appt. with a wedding consultant at 4pm that day.
I am sick of my boss accusing me of doing this. Does this classify as harrassment in the work place? Oh, another thing is one day we were talking about something and then she came up behind me and slapped my behind. I have these things recorded in a notebook. Because I am sick of her doing this stuff to me. She doesn't respect anyone. She thinks she can do anything and get away with it!

Is there a person whom your boss reports to, a supervisor of some kind? Because the behind-slapping is definitely a no-no...tell somebody about that. It's harassment, plain and simple.

It's good you've documented the incidents. Can you show that notebook to the boss's superior? If you do, 'tho, don't give it to anybody to keep (wouldn't want it to suddenly "disappear").

If the superior doesn't do anything, or if he/she talks to your boss and nothing improves, then you may have to start looking for another job.

Wish I had better advice!

A boss can not make you stop, however they are able to fireplace you. It's now not unlawful. They could make you stop to get the unpaid holiday. They can say they'll rehire you, however they do not ought to. Of direction, you lose credit score for the time you've gotten been there. So it is a crappy factor to do. Given that you simply took break day, which she does NOT ought to provide you, there's not anything flawed with what she is doing. Certainly now not unlawful. If you've gotten a union, it would be special. Unless you'll be able to end up it is discriminatory situated on race, faith, gender, and so on., there's not anything unlawful approximately it. FMLA simplest applies to you or any one for your household with scientific stipulations. That's now not your crisis. IF the enterprise is beneath a distinctive quantity of staff, or they have not labored there for a 12 months, FMLA might now not practice to the pregnant ladies both.

It would depend on what where you work. If you work for her (she owns the business) then it might be simpler to just find another job. If you both work for a company you might be able to file a complaint.

Some people are just jerks. Some don't know it and are ashamed when people point out their actions, others know but don't care. You can just TELL her you feel like you deserve more respect...but you'd better be prepared to walk away if she says no.

Start looking for other employment, Your boss has a problem with you just or UN just it won't matter. I think you could have covered for the day the lady had to see the wedding planner, This person was forced to choose and I think she chose right, weddings are not every day occurrences.
Good luck

You did not make those people quit. They chose to on their own free will. Its a shame that there are managers like this. Some people just seem to live to make others miserable, but it comes back to them. I would put in a complaint about her, and start looking for another job. (Just don't use her as a reference.)

I'd say find another job and tell her she made you quit...that'll get the point across.

Interesting about the behind slapping.
