I'm looking for protection from hail storms...but metal roofing looks tacky on a house. Any shingle material that is tough but reasonably priced? Made of plastic, or even metal but looks like shingles? Anyone know?

we have it it looks exactly like shingles but it is made from metal and it has a red coating on it that prevents you from sounding like you're in tin drum

yes they make a shingle that looks just like slate...many colors and the shape is nice.......look at ownes corning...
