Yeah, a lot of folks have fallen into energy, psychic, emotional vampiring lately.... They make a practice of taking up the time of those genuinely interested in 'doing' (something of value) to make themselves feel as though they have accomplished something... In your case, to seem to have 'control' of someone else's time or reactions.
At least you appear to have thought about what you are doing. How about applying that intelligence to something worthwhile?
