Ask very easy questions in the class and slowly move to tougher ones. You can also involve to make those questions difficult. Ask them to generate questions.

tried this at summer school. Love vs. Hate; Love is a positive thing, right? Hate is a negative thing, correct? Well, when you love to love, you love. When you love to hate, you really hate. When you hate to love, you hate. And when you hate to hate, you really love.
These are the rules for multiplying and dividing integers. + and + = +; + and - = -; - and + = -; - and - = +.
