We now know that its not enough to say its 'their problem not ours'. The world is a maze of very complicated interconnections and peoples poverty, misery or insecurity in one part of the world will undoubtedly affect us before too long. This is reason enough to ensure that something is done urgently.

The Middle East contains a huge percentage of the world's energy supply so it is in ALL of our interests to solve the Conflict. No amount of money, time and resources spent would be too much. Think for a minute if the current situation gets out of hand and the whole region becomes unstable; the resulting effect in terms of higher energy prices, economic recession, humanitarian aid and peace keeping missions will be a hell of lot more expensive! We should ALL pressure our governments around the world to invest all the necessary time, money and resources in a sustained effort to resolve the problem between Israel and ALL its neighbours.

I believe your government [you must be american, because only americans assume theirs is the only government],should try to resolve the Israeli conflict.By providing unlimited military aid,USA,[perhaps deliberately] is guiding Israel further and further towards self destruction. The carte blanche path of genocide the Israelis have commited on the Palestinian and Lebanese people during the last 30 years is building into a bigger and bigger debt of revenge.Their enemies in the past have only been able to resort to slingshots, small arms and suicide bombing in their defence. The incidents with Katushyas are just a warning signal that the ultimate revenge is just around the corner. If there are US government officials with brain enough to see this, they should start guiding Israel down a path of diplomacy pretty soon.Otherwise,God help us all.

Perhaps under a different administration. Our current government can not help their own citizens. Unemployment, taxes, fuel, poverty, illness are at an all time high. Yes, something needed to be done. I firmly believe we need a new administration before it's too late. This is my definition of Bush!
B...Bringing
U..United
S..States
H..Harm
I do not like war however, it came to us on 9/11. So, yes something needed to be done but Bush is not the President to fix this!

yes I do but I don't think they will as Bush and his minions refuse to talk to terrorists. The sooner that they realise that terrorists are apart of global politics then hopefully something will be resolved. But the Bush administrations foreign policy is too insular and they don't want to p*ss off their Israeli friends so I can's see it happening anytime soon.

Unfortunately our Government is the cause and arbiter of the war in the ME. Bush wants to be a War Leader without the brain and guile that is necessary to be one. He thinks that cowering a whole region he can further secure wealth for his family. He doesn't understand the politics of the region and he is putting all our lives in danger. That is what is so sick.

No,No.No, this has been brewing for a long time. Israel has a right to protect themselves. They did not start this war. the hezbollah stated this war and they are only getting what they deserve now. Lebanon should of stoped the hezvollah year ago, when they killed our marines. Don't feel sorry for lebanon at all.

Dont be naive. Israel is just a branch of US. What s happening in the middle east is 100% US foreign policy (directly in Iraq and Afganistan, through Israel in Palestine and Libanon). It s all about oil, money and power.

We're the last Super Power left, and we should use our "super power" to help, yes. I think the US should be in the forefront of doing its all to try to bring a resolution to this horrible situation.

I would love to see us engage and help rectify all of this without a single shot being loosed from an American gun.

Yes it should. We've been there for Israel throughout its history trying to resolve this crisis. Why should this Administration be any different?
