The United Nations was supposed to be the hope for peace in the world. But then, they gave some one else's country to the jews and things have gone downhill from there. The problem is the the US and the UK have veto power (their votes can cancel out everyone else put together).The governments of these countries seem determined to keep the war machine rollling. If you get on their bad side you don't even get in the door, never mind a chance to vote and they will crush you, like Cuba. The UN has gone from the hope for peace to the enablers of war. It's a sad, sad thing.

The United Nation was started in the year 1945 (24th October) and presently it has 192 countries as members . This is for economic development and to maintain world peace. Official languages are Arabic, chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
