Shelly Winters as Mrs. Van Daan was brilliant. I would have to say the most powerful part of the movie for me is just before the SS arrives to take them away. Anne Frank had such incredible integrity and teaches us to always have hope. If she could have hope under her circumstances, then we too must have hope in the little struggles we face everyday. Every child and adult should read her diary. Besides Helen Keller, I believe Anne Frank impressed me most as a young child. Good question, now tell us which part did you like the most? Was it the first kiss? The rantings of Mrs. Van Daam, the long suffering Mr. Van Daam? Peter? Margot?

the part where they were hiding and had to be very quiet. the suspense really got ot me.
