Don't take salt baths! You should take a short 15 minute bath in lukewarm water. I put a folded towel in the bath, only fill it to cover my bottom half and just spend 15 minutes in it. (you can do it while the baby is napping)
If it has a bad odor, that's a sign of an infection, call your OB.
Good luck!

If the hospital didn't provide you with any, go to CVS/Eckerd's/Walgreens (and sometimes your local supermarket) and get some Witchhazel (it should be in the section with rubbing alcohol).
You can do one of two things: create a sitz bath (a large container you can sit in, and place on the toilet seat) or just fill up the bathtub a few inches of water. Make sure the temperature of the water is only hot enough that you can tolerate.
Pour about a quarter cup of witchhazel into the sitz or bathtub and soak at least 15 minutes. Do this twice daily, if possible.
Also, if the hospital didn't provide you with one, at the same stores, you can pick up a small, clear squeeze bottle, probably on the 99 cent rack. Every time you urinate, fill up this squeeze bottle with 1/4 witchhazel and 3/4 warm water and wash yourself while on the toilet, front to back.
It will heal in record time, and it will take care of the odor.
Also, If that "odor" continues to smell, go back to your gyno ... it is a real possibility that a piece of placenta was left inside you by accident and needs to be removed immediately. Yes, it will be painful because of stitching/healing, but necessary.

I always used hospital pads after birth when I bled, and used Nupercanal cream to heal the episiotomy. It was healed within 2 weeks. Have you went for your 6 weeks check up yet, it should be healed unless it was a big one...
Also if the baby doesn't fall asleep in his crib, don't worry about it.. as soon as he is asleep try to get up and get him in his own bed and if he wakes soothe him back to sleep... if you do not start trying this now it will only get harder..

Not sure how far post-partum you are?
Get some menstrual pads or Poise pads and squirt witch hazel in them until they are pretty soaked. Freeze them and then wear them in your underwear. This will help with any discomfort from tearing or having an episiotomy and will also help to heal the area.
It's FINE for your baby to sleep next to you. Just follow safe co-sleeping guidelines. You will get more sleep this way and you'll be able to respond to baby's needs quicker. Also, it's easier for baby to regulate his breathing and body temp when he is close to mom.

If it smells weird then you need to see your doctor. Sounds like it might be infected.
As for the baby, when he falls asleep move him into the crib.
