Do they really 'fall out of their trees' on occasion, or is that an old Myth?? They spend 18 or more hours sleeping, and eat a lot of Eucyliptus leaves which have an intoxicating effect on them. Hence the saying: 'You're out of your tree'. Fact or Fiction?

watch one until it falls if it doesn't get a job at the zoo so you can watch it overnight!

Eucalyptus leaves do not have an intoxicating effect, that is an urban myth. Koala bears do not fall out of trees, that is an urban myth. The reason why they always seem so "dopey" is because they are actually nocturnal, so when you see them in the daytime, they are half-asleep. Kookaburras, on the other hand, do fall out of trees and off hydrolines from being too drunk to hang on because their favourite fruit (gumberry, i think) ferments on the tree in the summer heat.
