There is a radio commercial for this jewelry store called Jarod down here (I don't know if they are national or just in Florida). The commercial starts off with this hideous, awful singing...
AAAAAAAAHHHH HAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! ASK JAROD!!
There is no warning, so you can't even flip the station before they launch into something so annoying. I want to scream and drive into a ditch everytime I hear it.

I hate the Wallmart commercials where someone is always standing motionless with their mouth open looking at their receipt because they can't believe how little they paid.
I will shop at Wallmart sometimes though but not often...the parking lot is always full and I can get real close to the Zellers door so I go there instead for basic stuff.

Those "Head On" spots (and their kindred spots) are annoyingly effective. The rapid fire repetition makes them effective. The message is easily remembered.
Before the spots got so annoying I thought about trying it. No more.
I refuse to buy something advertised in such a manipulitve manner.

Not withstanding the fact that I am a man I will never buy feminine hygiene products again after seeing the Stayfree Maxi-pad ads.

Do what I do. Just set it and forget it. It is my dream to someday host an infomercial, with a sidekick to repeat everything I say and look totally surprised and amazed at how fast potatoes can be sliced and diced. And of course, there would have to be an easily astonished and amused audience who have absolutely nothing going on in their lives.
