There's this guy I like.I've known him for 7 yrs now. When we 1st met he had just recently gotten married. I was attracted to him since the start, but a few yrs ago I realized I liked him more than just a friend. We'd flirt with each other and I would say when you leave your wife come and see me.Well last summer he told me he had left his wife. Then soon after he went back to try and work it out.finally in Feb.06 his divorce was final.Since then he keeps giving me mixed signals about whether he wants to have a relationship with me or not.I've asked him flat out, a few times,if he's interested in dating me.He tells me he doesn't want to ruin our friendship, then turns around flirts with me, and says well you never know.Never say never.Or he'll say; he has no answer for me,or he doesn't know.I can usually tell it a man is interested, and most will either show or come right out and tell you if they are interested or not. With him,its one mixed signal after another.Whats up with this?I'm confused

Just so some of you know. I wasn't waiting for him during those 7 yrs. I was dating other people. For me, my actually feelings didn't come up to the surface until about two years ago. Before then, my feelings were just friends, except I thought he was attractive and cute. So I wasn't waiting long. I've only waited a year.

Could be that he is just not over the divorce yet, and it might be that he is just really shy. Try just giving him a big wet sloppy kiss, smile and say dinner tonight.

I can't beleive that you have been putting up with this crap for seven years!!! Time to find someone else that loves you and apreciates who you are. He has already failed one marriage, top that off with flirting with you while he is married. How do you think he would act if he was married to you? Flirt with other people. I am sure that you are very emotionally envolved with him seeing it has been seven years but you really need to move on. Stop flirting with him or even going into contact with the man. Sounds like he needs to grow up.

after you have had a relationship for a few years and then you leave it life is very confussing. Make time to just be friends and let him sort out his feelings. Its part of the greiving process. Suggest a good counselor, that will help

mind games can not only be confusing but emotionally draining.
unfortunately, i think that we've all been there sometime. i can definately relate. but from my experience, this guy would love to be with you but he is not looking for commitment. this is what he means when he says.. he doesnt want to "ruin" the friendship. he will be with you if you can handle his non commit ideals. you must decide what your heart can handle. just dont expect to change him.

Because they can, and women let them. Go on with your life, if he truly wants to be with you, he will make it clear. Until then, see other people and let him make the next move. Don't sit around waiting.
