South coast, devon/cornwall... off the rat race. All the major theatre shows go to Plymouth befor London... If you feel like even more peaceful, you have ...in about 25 mile radius, South Devon Coast, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, Exmoor, South Cornish coast. little bit of heaven. Dont live there now, forced to move to horrible herts... but, Devon/ Cornwall, I'll be back....

In Bedfordshire on the border of Hertfordshire, a pretty, quiet little 13th c. town with excellent rail/motorway links to nearby larger towns and the city. Very little crime (local nuisance mostly) lots to do with a gala in June, a famous duck race in July, lol, a street fair in Oct, some of the best Christmas lighting displays you'll find anywhere, it's own micro brewery, some fantastic pubs/restaurants - we have one of the top 10 Indian restaurants in UK - riverside and woodland walks, excellent schools, churches of all denominations, the GP's have time for their patients and the dentist is painless!

In retrospect perhaps that would all be too much if you're looking for quiet!

Bornemouth, I moved from london about three years ago, I wolud not live any where else in England.
There is lots of beautiful places, wooded roads and an amazing beach good night life and the peace and quiet side of things, many sorrounding villiages. It is the one place i would say could cater for every requirement.
But you can not beat the good people of London!

Come to the north-west! There are so many lovely places I can't even start to list them all. Cheshire is lovely with many small towns and you don't have to live in Liverpool to still enjoy its amenities. The Wirral is just over the water and has many good areas to live in. If you own a small flat in London you will be able to buy a house with a garden here. Look at West Kirby, Upton and Heswall.

London is a Good city and Londoner will never say such thing in their life.I think you must be from Dublin ,Ireland settled in London. However if you are really bored then go to Briton and see the sea there and remember all Tennyson's and Shelly's poetry and enjoy the food and climate there.Good LUCK.
