Also sometimes the elevated hormone levels aren't quite in balance yet. I usually get sore the week before and the week after and I have never been pregnant.....

There is a chance you could be pregnant. Also it is normal sometimes for your nipples to get sore after a menstrual period. Sometimes the hormones are still active in your system even after your cycle is finished. But I would still take that pregnancy test just to be sure.

Not every woman is the same.
Some have PMS ~ premenstrual Syndrome (signs before period)
Some have DMS ~ during menstrual cycle (no sign of period, cramping & tenderness during peroid)
Some have AMS ~ after menstrual cycle (all the PMS signs after your done having your peroid)

it is very possible that you could be pregnant, even if you did have a cycle a week ago.
