Drugs, exertion, excitement, excessive heat, and stress are all among hundreds of possible external causes. Internally, electrolyte imbalances, cardiac dysrrhythmias, incorrect cardiac electrical conduction, metabolic disorders, infection. My friend the list goes on and on.

Exercise, illness, poor state of fitness, lack of oxygen, excitement, fear, adrenalin causes a fast heartbeat and can be caused by any kind of stimulation fear, arousal, excitement, happiness, exercise. Any of these sound right?
