Last year The Tigers only won 71 games.

They won thier 71st game on September 27th.

Wouldn't it ironic if they clinched the Central Division on that day?

Georgie, the Tigers are looking great right now, I've been impressed this weekend so far, they took the 1st two from the Twins, now they go for the sweep, as I stated in one of your earlier questions, I think Bonderman is due for a good pitching performance today. So the Tigers are riding high and looking good to win the division at this point, can't see the Twins or White Sox overtaking them at this point. They have all the ingredients right now to make a good run come playoff time; I really don't know why so many people don't think that this team could win it all; they have a great offense and top-notch pitching; and as we all know pitching is the name of the game.

They're on track to win over 110, and the way the White Sox are falling back, and your Tigers are keeping Minnesota down, they very well could clinch by 9/27, probably before. They're certainly going to clinch; 5 AL teams have higher E#'s than the White Sox, so they might not even take the Wild Card.

It would be ironic. It would depend on the White Sox and Twins, but since the Tigers are beating up on the Twins right now, it is possible that the Twins could slide a little. So, it is possible that the Tigers could clinch sooner.

I guess it would be but guess what. The Tigers have the best record in major league baseball and they have the best chance of anyone to win the world series. Detroit Tigers 2006 World Series Champs. That has a nice sound to it, especially since the White Sox won't win.

They may very well do it. The only the teams ill root for in that division if the mets arent in it are the Tigers or Twins. I hope the Tigers, Twins, Red Sox and Angels all get in this year.

its not ironic yet. We need to wait until the October if the Tigers would holds 100 wins if they would be #1 team in American league playoff which plays against the wild card team.

Screw Dat! What do you recommend that’s an insane volume of video games, one hundred eighty, MBL is approximately one hundred sixty five video games supply or take a pair, then upload post season must be yet another 12 video games ( better of 5 in first around, better of 7 in international sequence… sorry can’t bear in mind if I ignored a around of playoffs there if so upload yet another 4 to 7 video games there).

I think the Tigers need to be more concerned with if they can beat the Yankees come playoff time.
