i have downloaded a video file(a scene from a movie).it is in quicktime player format but i dont have that software.how can i view the file in windows media player

Windows Media Player does not support the Quicktime format.
Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft, while Quicktime is made by Apple, a competitor of Microsoft.
You'll have to download and install Quicktime to view the file.

u will need an mpg converter if you googke search it you should find one no bother
