There will be no winner.
A more constructive question would be: who will help end the war between Israel and the Lebanon?
If you want to get philosophical, you might say that throughout the world's history there has been one, or more, wars going on somewhere in the world. Perhaps war is a condition of mankind and can never be eradicated. The only way war will stop is to wipe out mankind. This, with a huge nuclear bomb, is a distinct possibility.
Help to ensure that this does not happen by asking questions like:
"How can we help end the war between X----- and X------?" Fill in as applicable.
Peace and Love,

Its not really between Israel and Lebanon, its between Israel and Hezbollah (the terrorist organisation that are stationed in Lebanon). I dont think there will be a winner, neither one is going to admit defeat and neither one will suddenly change their minds or see the error of their ways. It just doesnt work like that. In the mean time it is all the unfortunate innocent civilians stuck in the middle that are paying the price for it.

In case you hadn't noticed, Lebanon is not at war with Israel. The unfortunate Lebanese are under sustained attack by Israeli forces on the pretext that Lebanon needs to be cleared of the Syrian- and Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia. Until this started, the Hezbollah were steadily losing what little support they still had in Lebanon. Now, of course, solidarity with Hezbollah is on the increase.
As for whether Israel's response to Hezbollah 'provocation' is 'proportionate' - imagine if in the 1970s, when IRA bombers were killing dozens of people on the UK mainland, Britain had responded by invading the Kerry peninsula and sending planes to bomb Dublin....

Nobody. This is a deep rooted problem going back many years (thousands). It didn't help that after ww2 the Allies decided to create a country called Israel for all the disposessed jews to call home.Placing this country smack bang in the middle of an area which has been the homeland for the arabs/muslims/followers of islam, whatever, for a thousand years seems like a stupid idea to me.I do not believe in any form of religion, this has caused so much grief the world over that all religions should be outlawed. However, I will say that anyone trying to take over my home will be met by my gf,and trust me, you don't want to piss her off!!!.I'm still wearing the scars!!! LOL!.

There will be no winner.
The Lebanese are having a war that I am sure they do not want inflicted upon them. Israel has over reacted.
Unfortunately, Israel will it seems always remain a thorn in the side of the Arab nations. Ask yourself how they came to occupy that piece of land and imagine that it was your country before that.
That will remain the position after this war is over.
I hope that one day all sides will learn to live side by side in peace.

there is not any winner in a conflict with maximum of those everyone appears to be like getting killed yet in the top Israel will be the tremendous loser after the international sees how if fights terror with terror. the international gained't stand for this, and we the u . s . can't lower back those evil human beings perpetually. the U. S. ought to face as a lot as Israel if there is to be peace no longer merely in the middle east even if the international.

No one in my lifetime. The Israeli Government has just committed its own people to another generation and more of hatred from all the Lebanese people, not just the Muslim population. But on the other side of the coin, Hizbullah must be annilated, or at least, brought to justice by the international community. They are using human shields of innocent civilians to cow behind when they fire their rockets. Face your enemy and you might get some respect is the message we should all give them (Hizbullah).

Nobody wins in war, if we care for civilians.
Unfortunately, in this war, Israel and the US will probably win.
Shame on them
