All of your choices are awesome, but I think Eric Clapton is the best. He has been in so many groups and has played backup when you didn't even know that he did.

I Choose Kirk Hammet From Metallica....Hes Good And Fast,And How He Made All Of His Solos As It Was His Heart And Soul..Second For Me Is Joe Satriani,His Sounds Are Great,But As For Malmsteen,He's Too Fast For People To Play His Song And His Shredding Doesn't Sound Nice...Kirk Hammets The Best With His Creative Plays....

Three best (and they really are the best) in no order

1.Eddie Van Halen
2. Jimmy Page
3. Jimi Hendrix

Everyone you put on that list was good.

Although there are some really underrated guitarists you should put on here.

1.Johnny Greenwood (Radiohead)
2.Tom Morrello (Audioslave)
3. Kim Thyll (Soundgarden)
4.John Frusicante (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
5.Alex Lifeson (Rush)

j,mmy.... hi is considered to be the most influential guitarist in modern music, Jimi Hendrix perfected the deliberate use of distortion and feedback, using it to complement his natural virtuoso ability. He exuded charisma, raw talent, and creativity to excess - delivering some of the most revolutionary music of the 20th century.A self-taught left-handed guitarist, Jimi played with a right handed Fender Stratocaster - upside down and re-strung. His use of the Strat's tremelo bar was one of the signature elements of his blues influenced style of rock music. In addition to his songwriting and playing ability, Jimi Hendrix was also a pioneer in using the recording studio as an "instrument".

Brian May from Queen.

--> 1st: Because I love Queen.

--> 2nd: He does these great riffs with the guitar that seem like he's playing with somebody else.

--> 3rd: He's a great composer.
