I have a mole and I'd like to disguise it using a tattoo, that is incorporate it into a tattoo design somehow (not tattoo over it). The mole itself is around 1cm across. I've thought of maybe something like a sunflower but not been able to find any nice designs on the 'net.

Any ideas anybody?

In reply to the person who said I should get it removed, as a cosmetic procedure its going to cost around £400 ($745) and I don't have that kind of cash

if you have a mole, you should at least get it checked. it could be dangerous if you dont.

Hello, I also used to practice self-mutilation. Which is exactly what cutting one's self is. I got my first tattoo at 16. It is on my left ankle, and is of 2 Chinese dragons, facing each other with claws raised. Basic black tribal style, with red eyes. It represents the internal conflict that I struggled with as a young teen, and that the conflict will always exist, but I do have the power to either control it, or let it control me. Tattoos should mean something. The seven I currently have all have a deep meaning, and the 3 I have planned out are the same. Be aware, that even though our culture is much more accepting of tattoos, that a tattoo on the hands, wrists, forearms, or any place that is not easily hidden by clothing do make it difficult to get a job in a professional setting. You do not want to have to wear sleeves constantly. Perhaps a phoenix rising out of some ashes would be something meaningful, representing a rebirth of who you are, someone who has grown past a harsh period in your life, but is amazingly beautiful. Look into the history of the phoenix, maybe it will speak to you. Hope this helps. Also, RESEARCH your artist. Even if they are in a shop does not mean they are good artists. After getting your tattoo, care for it during the healing process with Aquaphor by Euicerin. It holds color amazingly well, I have 2 I did not use it on, 5 I did, and the 5 I did look noticeably better than the 2 I did not. Good luck, and good ink!

Hey i don' think that's a good idea at all.
Moles are actually a very touchy subject, cause you can get cancer if you pick on a mole. It's not very wise to get a tattoo even near the mole cause of the ink.
I actually went to a skin doctor and maybe the only way to get rid of a mole is to remove it with a laser surgery.

So my advise is NOT to do it.

Tattoo will never help to disguise a mole. It enhance the ugliness

If you're seriously thinking about this option, visit your local tattoo artist. They are the ones with the ideas and experience to really help you figure out something you would like. Usually they have walls covered in examples of their work. But, be sure and ask someone who has a tattoo someone for a reputable reference.

Why don't you just have the mole removed? It would be easier and a lot less painful than a tattoo.
