There is no guaranty of course, but, without trust you are deprived of many pleasures in a relationship. After all, one has a very few best friends. So, he/she becomes instinctively selective making best friends. How long a relationship will last will depend on many mutual factors like respect, trust, understanding, love, responsibility for each other, friends, society, culture, prsonal outlook or philosophy, even finances.
Personally, I'm not afraid of making friends, some of them obviously become best friends. I get stung too. But, That's life. Cest La Vie.

No, best friends never dump. Why u feel in that way is because once u make a person as best friend u become possessive about that person and dont like to see the same friend with very closely as with you so u feel like ur friend is ignoring or the person is not ur best friend thats it .It happened with me but i realised it later. So be brave and go for it you will find very good friend with whom u can share ur views with all comforts.

Yes, I have best friends. Actually I do not differentiate between Best and just Friend.
I do not call them "MY" (my friends etc) either, this stops the clingy bits. I try not to have to many expectations so I can't get hurt and do not hurt them either. Like she did not call me today, yesterday. Why did they not invite me to this nonsense. Just take them as they are, pleased to share time with them and be there if they need me.
I think you are NOT right, to have best or friends, don't be afraid just lie back, relax and enjoy. Otherwise you will become a lonely and maybe even bitter person.

If you talking about best friend, I don’t think you can get dump from having a best friend. They can stop being your friend you back stab them at all. If you’re talking about boyfriend, it is okay to be dump. Everyone had been dump once in a life time. I don't think best friends exist. I've had terrible experiences with them. I mean, i'm not saying you shouldn't have any friends, but as far as addressing them as your "best friends," no such thing. My mom also had a terrible experience with her best friend. I'm not trying to be negative. You just have to be careful who you trust. Another thing, don't be afraid of being dumped by a friend. In that case, then they were never your buddies to begin. Nobody should mistreat anyone just because. They'd have to have a valid reason to stop talking to you.

i have loads of freinds, and quite a few best friends. we hang out togother and do fun stuff, and have never had a really big fight. and even if we do, we patch up, cuz we like being around each other.... and as far as dumpin- if the person is mean enough to dump u for a small thing, ur not meant to b best friends... best friends r supposed to stick with u, through thick and thin!

Can't say you are wrong - people are users I have found, it's all about what you can do and give to them most of the time. Once in a great while someone completely sincere will come along and just want to be with you because of you! Don't let them slip through the hard edges of your cracks - give people enough leash to hang themselves and if they don't then you have a friend.

See life is full of risk. If you donot take a risk to make friends, then how will you able to discover a good friend? Don't trust them 100% but be with them. this will make you to understand the friends. As the time will move, as you will faces the ups and downs in your life, you will come to know who is the real friend of yours. AND IF YOU THINK THEY SHOULD NOT DUMP YOU THEN BE LOYAL TO EVERYTHINK IN YOUR'S AS WELL AS THEIR LIFE.

NO, u are wrong!. bestfriend is someone u can trust and talk too whenever u happy or sad, sometimes u juz cant talk to yr partner then u really need a friend like a bestfriend to talk too, bestfriends never dump their bestfriend!,
