If you've never had your period before, speak with your mother or grandmother about the benefit of using either a pad or a tampon, or you can call and speak to a nurse at your doctors office... I suggested to my daughter that she uses pads and can practice using tampons to see what she likes better, but I suggest you start off with pads until you can become comfortable with inserting a tampon.

Well the tampon/pad thing is just what you prefer. But if this is your first period I would suggest that you use a pad. You will have lots of time to practice tampons and see if you are comfortable with them. Definitely go and talk to your mom or another trusted female!

The tampon and pad thing is what you prefer. If you don't know if you are going to get your period you can ask a woman that you trust.

use a pad because you can pick up a disease from tampons. have you seen any blood come out that is ur period

Tampon. If blood is coming out...you're having it...and it'll come back in 28 days.
