it's not the matter of place. it's religion, ego and power leading the world to doomsday. yesterday it was vietnam , today it's afganistan , iraq, palestian, lebanon, tomorrow it might be iran or perhaps N. korea . peopel are people . we are not meant to die in wars cos of the pride of nations.

I wish I were capable of casting a spell over the eyes of all parties that are destroying Lebanon and make them lay there arms down. That is a fairy tale and it only happens in children's stories. I don't believe peace will come to Lebanon anytime soon nor to the region. It is like a game of incendiary musical chairs moving from country to country .

A lasting peace will happen in the middle east only when the entire region is reduced to rubble, and maybe not even then...

You will never see it in your lifetime. Irreconcilable differences make that peace unattainable. Maybe in the future when people are educated enough to not follow religious beliefs so blindly and can accept people with compassion and understanding, then you might see an agreeable outcome. Until then, ignorance and aggression are the rule of the day.

Only if Lebanon can't produce weapons of an kind and they are forced to be peaceful because they couldn't possibly get a weapon to go to war with. However, if they can produce one weapon even if it's an old sword, they will find someone to fight.
