too bad. There is no proven solution to this even if you search the whole of Microsoft Site or the World Wide Web. Try salvage your harddisk documents by plugging it into another PC. That's the least you can do before you format it.

Log in with a DOS startup disk and erase the Windows and reinstall!

I just hit the button and turned my computer off and started it up again and it booted up to the desktop. Then I reset my admin password. Worked for me, might work for you too. If not, restart in DOS and reinstall.

log in safe mode, turn admin password off re-boot.
Usually F8 for advanced startup options during boot.

Search on the Internet for the program called Hiren's BootCD 8.2. It will erase your admin pass :D

I wonder if you can reinstall on a new disk, and save your old hard disk to get at your old files.
