Go to "tools", click, "show address bar".

could be because of anumber of reasons. one may be that other site bars have been installed, leaving no room for the address bar. There a re two solutions.
1. For internet explorer:
go to view, then toolbars, and check if address bar is disabled. if not, just enable it and you are done. if it is enabled, then it is already on the window. if you carefully drag your mouse over the top bar, you will be able to see an area that can be dragged. do it, and the address bar should open up.
2. For mozilla firefox:
Go to view, same as before, then toolbars, and then enable the navigation toolbar. if it already is, try the same as before.

hope i've been of help. See ya!
