For example, a movie I'd absolutely love to see get made would be:

Story: The Odyssey, by Homer
Director: Peter Jackson - from King Kong and the Lord of the Rings movies, he obviously does well with huge epics, while keeping the small, personal story front and center - exactly what a movie of The Odyssey would need
Leads: Russel Crowe as Odysseus...not sure about the rest

Anyway, your ideas? The more specific, the better! :-D

Well- I think it'd be really cool to make a movie with all the Nintendo characters. Like Super Smash Bros. Melee, but as a movie. It would be awesome for Nintedo fans everywhere like myself. It should be animated (because casting real people would be just plain strange). And animated by the people who made the games so they look right and not weird.

I think that'd be awesome!

And of course it has to have a plot....so maybe something to do with Bowser as the evil guy? Teaming up with other evil characters like Ganondorf, he and the other baddies could be trouble for the good characters somehow, threaten something....it'd be cool.

H.P. Lovecraft's The Dunwich horror. It would be a short but interesting horror movie... I would also like E.A.Poe's The black cat, The pit and the pendulum, The fall of the house of the Ushers... Lead: Johnny Depp as the main character- he's so good when he plays evil guys! Not 100% about the others...

Story: Nine Princes in Amber by Roger Zelazny
No idea on director.
Cool story:
1) lots of sword fighting
2) sexy, deceitful, and mysterious women
3) characters can travel throughout reality by reaching out to family members through special decks of hand-drawn cards

Story doesn't focus on good vs. evil, just people supporting their beliefs for their own reasons. If you think you suffer from strained family relationships, the Amber family will give you a run for your money with regards to family dysfunction.

I think it is being made as we speak. I have always been fascinated with pre-columbian central america and now Mel Gibson is making a film about that time period called "Apocalypto". I can't wait for it to come out, I love movies where there is no need for a time-filler 20 minute car chase.
